Interiors
Susan L. Thompson, a native of the Washington, D.C. area, was raised in Arlington, Virginia. She received a degree in art history from Georgetown University and an interior design degree from Marymount University. She designed the well-received kitchen at the 2009 DC Design House.
Susan believes that home should be precious, that it should reflect the inhabitants’ tastes and dreams, as well as provide a comfortable refuge for recharging, relaxing, and receiving family and friends. She believes that good design makes home beautiful, functional, and well organized. She hopes to assist all her clients in celebrating the beauty of every season, enjoying each and every day.
She also feels that we would all do well to be more immersed in nature, and she likes to include natural treasures in all her interiors — flowers, plants, and natural formations of stone and wood. She also strongly believes in reuse, recycling, and repurposing, which preserves both our past and our environment, and is often a financially responsible choice as well.
